The Hellenic Managing Authority European Territorial Cooperation Programs is organizing the "1st European Territorial Cooperation Conference: Promoting Best Practices-Sharing Experiences", which will be held in the framework of the Greek Presidency of the Council of Europe and in celebration of Europe Day.
The conference will take place on May 8 and 9, 2014 in Thessaloniki, Greece (Venue: Macedonia Palace Hotel).
The aim of the Court is to build on existing experiences and lessons learned and concentrate efforts to turn individual and institutional experience and knowledge into capital that can be used in the future.
During the conference, our company will present the results and share its experiences during the implementation of the OUTLAND Program “Development of Open Protocols and Tools for the Education and Training of Voluntary Protection Organizations for Natural Disasters (Forest Fires) in Greece” »As a consultant to the Municipality of Thermi.
Most important of all, however, is that the OUTLAND Program has been implemented in such a way as to lay the foundations for a multidisciplinary co-operation structure that is central to the support and training of Civil Protection volunteers on Natural Disasters.
The new European Climate Action Line also includes the newly established inter-municipal cooperation as a result of the program related to volunteering, civil protection and the environment. Volunteering in Civil Protection is a key pillar of preparedness for the citizen to remain safe even when local communities are faced with extreme environmental conditions. The first degree Local Authorities of the country are institutionally responsible for the organization and support of the Civil Protection Teams.
